A February 2025 meta-analysis, published by Examine, reviewed 10 randomised controlled trials on curcumin supplementation in individuals with knee discomfort. Dosages ranged from 186mg  to 1,500mg per day over periods of 4 to 16 weeks.

While results between studies were mixed, some research showed that curcumin supplementation was linked to improvements in joint comfort. In some instances, effects were even described as comparable to those seen with standard non-prescription pain-relief options.
